Do you guys want to start with Balter's Trial?

I know the original board had a thread dedicated to the topic but thought we could just start in here, and if enough warrants it give it a thread again

Sounds good to me. So Baltar's trial. I hate the guy, but it was really interesting. I really reallly really like Lee's speech, because OMG. Up until that point I was all for sending Baltar through an airlock. But Lee made a good point about how it all really boiled down to them not liking Baltar. Everyone else can be forgiven because they're friends or whatever, but since Baltar's a jerk, lets punish him. Just.

It was amazing.

That was my favorite part too cause like you guys have said, it came down to them hating Balter. No real proof that Balter killed anybody, yes everything that happened on NC but he never did. Plus no proof that he was in league with the Cylons on NC and was all non-proofable

so glad he was found not guilt

Small thing thought about

loved the small things, them keeping count of how many were in the fleet and how many alive, really kept it human. Though for me about the same things, my ABSOLUTE favorite thing was the wall that was on Galactica, of all those that had fallen or were missing from the Colonies

Definitely one of my favourite episodes. It's always nice to have a good trial. I particularly liked his lawyer, good to see him pop up occasionally, especially in the mutiny storyline.
As for GB, he didn't really do anything wrong on NC. With a gun being forced against his head. He really didn't have much of a choice but to sign the death warrants. What do you think about Felix Gaeta turning on GB went so far as I could tell, they seemed to rather like each other. Why lie on the stand, what did he have to gain from it?

Ohh I LOVED the lawyer... mostly because I'm a Mark Sheppard fan

I think Gaeta was so disappointed with Baltar because he really looked up to him at first that when Baltar made his bad/poor choices Gaeta resented him in the same level.

Mark Sheppard is

remember him from SPN when I was watching aka first 5 seasons

I see that being the cause too; Gaeta felt very betrayed which started him down his very dark period
