I started watching the show shortly before season 3 started, so my first taste of hiatus was the season 3 finale.

I didn't start watching until it had already been off the air for several years.

I LOVED LOVED LOVED Farscape and the Sci-fy channel canceled it because they suck so I was kinda boycotting them at the time it aired. I still do boycott them for the most part. I only watch their shows once they get to Netflix or Amazon Prime.

It's funny because i never think of Adama as being overly emotional, but he definitely is more emotional as a leader than Laura is, for example. He gets emotionally invested in not just the crew, but the very ship he commands. And his relationship with Kara is definitely a great example of that.

I think that's because Adama had a wife and kids and Laura didn't. She basically had no one with her family wise during the exodus to Earth. I imagine she may have been more emotionally charged if she had family with her and could relate.

On the surface he doesn't seem very emotional but I think he's very emotional

cause like you said - he sees the crew as his family and then so many times we saw how emotionally he got over situations - Kara's death and then finding out Saul was a Cylon

I think finding out that Boomer was a Cylon was also really emotional for him. I think he also kind of thought of her as a surrogate daughter.

We could, but it might not be necessary.

Yeah, I'm not sure how he felt about Boomer, but I do think he came to feel familial about Athena.
