The SuperS dubbed version came out in 2000.
It depends on what anime and what company released it. I haven't really caught up with anime in recent years although I'm particularly interested in the Blood+ series. Read or Die is a recent one although I've only seen the OAV version. 4Kids though...that's the kiss of death concerning what they're notorious for. |

I wasn't overly impressed with blood.
I did happen upon a series called Parasite dolls, it's an OVA that was entertaining. I enjoyed it, subbed, of course. __________________

I've seen both, not that impressed with either.

It's kind of funny that I slowly watched anime. Haven't done so regularly for a long time. First it was the Read or Die OVA, and then the Crayon Shinchan episodes I ripped to a DVD (Japanese version mind you).
I wanted to check out Blood+ you know.  I thought the music was interesting. |

I'll give you that. most anime has some good music in it, but I need to like the style of the anime too. I'm so burnt on manga'y goodness that i'll puke if i watch one more.
For a while, i was in to Witch Hunter Robin, but I think that's past.__________________

Haven't watched Witch Hunter Robin in years. I probably should try to watch it again one of these days. But you're right on how the style of the series has to be good too. Some of the music I like are from series that I've never watched (ex. Rozen Maiden)
Define "manga'y goodness"? If you're talking about those series where the characters are drawn in those short statures, then yeah, it does get old and tiring. Shame, though that some of my favorite manga hasn't been made into a series. |

When it comes to my anime, I'm more of a Macross Frontier/Gundam type of person. Inuyasha's stretching it, or Full Metal.
By Manga, I think people with over-sized expresssions, or people that are anatomically, weird. __________________

Never was a fan of Speed Racer. That goes double with their live action film...which to me, is creepy just looking at the trailers.
So "nice", when I felt comfortable with my history finals, I get a sore throat and fever as a compensation. |

I didn't think the movie was that bad. It was a bit over-exposed, but I like the cartoony feel that they gave it.
