My guess is Crash heard your nasally voice echoing in his house. Which is rather scary, really. Especially if it's telling me to pick up a machete and start going around hacking things.

Kris, if anything ever told Crash to pick up a machete and hack something (it could sound like betty white) he'd do it in a heartbeat

Maybe it's because I met you Jerry before I met Crash so I kind of know a little more. Just a little more.

Also, it's no surprise that you tend to creep people out sometimes anyway so anything is possible. Then again, even looking at a child and think "Aww, ain't it cute" before the kid starts going haywire and brings down chaos.
