Baby-faced star Casey Affleck and the delightful Jessica Alba are set to get down and dirty as a murderous cop and small-town prostitute in The Killer Inside Me. Directed by Michael Winterbottom, who has just finished doing the rounds with bereavement drama Genova, it will follow an otherwise boring sheriff's descent into murder.

Affleck will play Lou Ford, the seemingly dull deputy with a girl-next-door girlfriend. But, beneath his unremarkable normal life, Ford carries a deep, dark secret and harbours a bad girl lover (Alba) on the side. Struggling like Jekyll with his Hyde side, Lou finally gives in to the monster inside, unleashing his wrath on unsuspecting townsfolk.

Based on the noir novel by Jim Thompson, The Killer Inside Me was described by Stanley Kubrick as: "Probably the most chilling and believable first-person story of a criminally warped mind I have ever encountered." A big screen adaptation of the book was made in 1976, starring Stacy Keach (American History X), but it is likely this version will work straight from the text, rather end up as a movie remake. Filming looks set to start in mid-January.

^^ I've only seen him in the Ocean's movies so far, but I quite like him. And I only hear great, solid things about him in the movie with the stupidly long name (the Jesse James film with Brad Pitt), and Gone Baby Gone. I think he's making a bit more of a name for himself now, which is cool. I'll see what I think after watching those two films, I guess!

I didn't think he was that hard to understand!

He is in Ocean's movies? Was he in the first one too? I mean I have seen that but don't remember him. Though I have every intention to watch all of them, but I'm lazy what comes to watching movies.

Yeah, he's in all three! He was one of the pair of brothers who argued with each other about everything

You should definitely watch them if you get a chance, they're really good. The first is definitely the best, I enjoyed the second even though a lot of others didn't like it, and the third is fun too. They're good for entertainment, at the least!
