I enjoyed Serenity. I think you will miss a little bit of the character interaction if you did not see a couple of episodes of Firefly.

However, it was a cool movie, with good dialogue, plot twists, and fun all around. Go see it. (Maybe twice, to get all the good lines.)

I think this is the appropriate board to post my question.

I saw the trailer of Serenity.

Since it's based on Firefly, have the same actors returned to do the movie?
And how close is it to the television series?

If you haven't noticed, I'm in a dilemma. The trailer looks good, but I'm against Firefly.

I'm not just against Firefly, I watched it and hated it. Which is why I didn't see Serenity.

Well, the Serenity movie made 10million at the box office...Into the Blue only made 7 million. For the most part, you have to be a sci-fi fan to even go to "Serenity"...if you're not then you probably won't like it. It's also been said that it helps if you've seen the 12 or so episodes that actually aired on FOX before they cancelled it.

I think they cancelled it after the seventh episode aired, they just showed the others because they'd already been made.

I can't understand why they made a movie about it.

Tinga....yes, everyone that was in Firefly returned for Serenity. Though, not everyone is a member of the crew anymore.

It's a much broader story...deals with the creation of the Reavers, and you get to see what River Tam can really do. Oh is she a fun little girl.

Firefly had 15 episodes...12 aired.

Crash...you'd deffinitely like Jayne....He's a gun freak like none-other.

Yeah, she's mostly the reason the movie appealed to me in the first place. Wouldn't mind being her friend.
