So yesterday I got my $600 economic stimulus check from the government. I had it for a grand total of 3 hours. With my $600 which the government hoped would stimulate the economy, I bought a Beretta PX4 .40 semi-auto handgun.

I have faith that something wiser will progress. I understand Iran's position. They want to be the power in the region. Everyone's got to start somewhere. I think Sheida says it best though, that Ahmadinejad should use a different route to that power. He could play his cards different and not be so hard line. Then again, I thought Bush would have learned from his mistakes too, and I was proven wrong there.

Iran will not be as easy as Iraq was, I can tell you attacking us will be a mistake. We've won wars without the smallest of supplies before, we can do it again, I just really would prefer it if it did not arrive at that ...

Everyone here is talking about how Ahmdinejad is a 'good guy', well good guys shouldnt be presidents, presidents should know that when they say something as stupid as the things he says they are endangering the lives of 70 million people.

Hate to say it, but right now Israel is the only nuclear power in the Middle East and they're in now hurry for that to change. I really wish we'd stop sending them all those billions of dollars in 'foreign aid' every year.

Israel needs to figure out what it's supposed to do. The Palestinian state needs to be finalized and formed. Lastly, they need to stop responding so abruptly to the stupid things that rogue members of Hamas and Hezbollah do. You cannot lock down huge swaths of land, and tens of thousands of people because some guy thought he'd grow a pair and teach someone a lesson. Shrug. Let Hamas police itself, I guarantee that people will get the message.

As for thoughts of invasion, blah blah blah. Let's be honest, the United States is stretched thin now. Afghanistan, Iraq, Korea, former Yugoslavia are all drains on resources. With Russia threatening military action over missile defense and Georgia requesting help as Russia continues to interfer in its internal politics, there is truly nothing that can be done. Ahmdinejad knows this, and he should also know that the chance of being invaded is as close to zero as you can get. If we use troops in Iraq, we loose Iraq. We use troops in Afghanistan, we loose that...there's nothing to do, so all the needless posturing does little more than rile feathers, and I think it's just as well that we leave feathers un-riled. Then again, maybe he's right. I would never trust the American government to ever do anything smart, after all.
