About time they start to flesh out Dorian. We were supposed to see the portrait in last season's finale, but they decided to hold back and take their sweet time.
I guess his role will be much larger in Season 3, though.

Dorian is currently busy being used by Lily to achieve world domination, but he might change his mind down the road.

Willfully used, I might add.

They are both using each other and knowing it. I wonder for how long that arrangement will stand.

Is Dorian doing it just for kicks? I know the man loves weird new things but they need to add something more to his character's motivation if they want to give him layers.

But I'm willing to still give him some benefit of the doubt until the show his backstory. Hopefully there is more to his motivations than just what they already did with Evelyn.

It was all way more interesting when we were being led to believe him and Vanessa had some sort of supernatural bond, being reincarnations of ancient evil entities :love: Remember their first meeting :sigh: ? The trance she was in? How they felt each other across the room time and time again throughout the season. How he would talk and she would seem almost hypnotized. The angsty break up. His first taste of rejection. Her relationship with sex. Now he seems like a prop and she doesn't even seem to remember him :(

I agree. It's like they've forgotten his importance to the main story line this season. Maybe whatever he's doing with Lily will circle back to the Amunet/Amun Ra arc and it'll become a problem for the Scooby Gang.

I think the mistake was in waiting so long to reveal the darkest side of his nature. Weren't they supposed to show the portrait in the S1 finale? But they then let more than half of Season 2 pass keeping him in the "grey"/I don't know what I want zone stand-by zone.

The impact would've been greater had they showed us his true colors after Vanessa demon-ing out during their last sex scene.
