So next Tuesday, I have an appointment for wedding dress alterations.

The first time I wore this dress, it was in February I think, long before lockdown. I've been exercising a lot since then, tried to stay away from snacking in-between meals but like I know I've lost a lot of weight too. The dress might be too loose on me now, we'll see.

The plan was to add a corset in the back, so no matter what size I am, it can be easily adjusted. The bustle only makes sense for a wedding reception, which my fiance and I are cancelling due to the pandemic.

So one of my aunts is coming here from California because she can't find work there. She's going to be quarantine in a hotel for 14 days and then she's going to live with us until she finds work, and I'm put into this situation where I have to keep this a secret from my fiance because if he knew about this, I know he would cry foul because he can't see me right now.

Eventually my fiance and I can take socially distanced nature walks but I don't like lying to him either.

I can understand him being mad.

Like I said before, just tell people they were socially distanced but don't really do it.

My mom is looking into how to best help her sister, and I get it, if there were NO pandemic at all, this wouldn't really be an issue. The way my mom explained it, my aunt is only coming here to recuperate (since she has a bad leg), and won't work until there's a vaccine; it sounds like she might have work in New York.

Her coming here wouldn't happen until late August though, and I guess a lot can change between now and then. I guess there's still time for me to process this and see if my aunt comes here or my mom finds another solution.

The good news with my fiance, when I talked to him earlier via zoom (there's less lag than facebook) it sounds like he's more open to socially distanced nature walks and I promised to let him know when we can do that.

Good that he is being open to it. If it's the only way for you guys to see each other right now, it's what needs to happen.

Yeah. Otherwise, the next time we see each other is the day of our wedding rehearsal.

Update on my aunt, she is NOT coming here. She's going to stay in CA, one of my mom's Filipino friends is going to help her. Yay! I don't have to worry about hiding a secret from my fiance.
