Thank you! Once I have all my materials setup, I can start work. This is a part-time job now, I can make my own schedule. I'll get benefits after three months. Along with the equipment, it becomes mine as long my name is on the receipt.

So, that job I applied for and they gave it to me right away, along with a check to purchase materials that the company themselves also bought, it's a scam. I tried to deposit the check twice to my bank and it was rejected twice. I applied to this on zip recruiter and they used to a real company, but the company on the check has been flagged six times already. So yeah, no real job for me yet.
I haven't lost any money because I can't deposit the fake check, but now, I have to go back and apply again for work. __________________

I'm sorry it was a scam, obis. Weird how they wanted you to deposit the check instead of asking you for money. What were they trying to accomplish?

I'm not really sure. The lady I was talking with, she was being really aggressive about me depositing the check too. I think the way it was supposed to work, I deposit the money but then it bounces and I owe the scammer the money. They give me money only to take it back. I think.
I have her blocked now on my Google Hangouts because that's she's been contacting me. The scammer also wanted a copy of the deposit slip, which of course has account information on it. Which I never gave because the bank rejected my deposit twice. __________________
