I think the trouble is any good plumber can make very decent money, as it's a really skilled job. One of those is not going to want to work for the Council, as they will not pay well or be reliable with payment.

Was going to say Luke's lot (electricians) call plumbers and brick labourers (forgot what you call them) scum. They basically do no work for medium rate pay. I mean they don't get £20 an hour like electricians, but they get paid at least £11-£13 to do nothing.
