Was that the same episode where Colin got to play Rumpel as Hook? People on Emilie's board were saying they really liked him in the Rumpel pretending to be Hook role. I only saw Aurora/Maleficent's scene on youtube, so I can't say much about the episode other than me being disappointed Aurora got one scene, and it wasn't even present day.

I had thought about watching it for Rumpel as Hook, because I love seeing Colin play bad and sneaky, but then I never got around to it.

Colin's scenes were very good ... and he had several with Emilie

I love whenever Colin/Emilie get to work together.
um... with that, as the long spell of her enchantment came to an end, the princess awaked; and looking at him with eyes more tender than a first sight of him might seem to excuse:— “is it you, my prince?” she said. “you have been a long while coming.” and your lillies of snow __________________

yea, anything with Hook waking Aurora with true love's kiss and fighting Maleficent puts a smile on my face.

So, I'm just curious ... how quickly were you disappointed in the direction they went with Hook?

I started disliking the direction beginning of s3. I was excited for Neverland at the end of s2. Like REALLY EXCITED. I had such high hopes for Hook flashbacks. But then I didn't feel like A&E delivered. I didn't think they did Neverland or its characters justice. I felt like they focused way too much on the Charmings/Rumpel during that arc and how the Neverland characters could prop up the mains, rather than exploring the Neverland characters. I wanted to see what Hook did for Pan, because he said he worked for him. I wanted to see them sword fight. I wanted to see Pan/Tink have a conversation. I wanted Wendy - Peter Pan's actual main character - to do more. I wanted it to be more than them walking around the jungle, and for Hook to contribute more than he did. And then I just felt like Hook became too much about Emma and being her cheerleader. The Hook A&E gave us was a Hook I felt moved away from the Hook I wanted.

I'm sorry, it sucks when you really love a character and they won't just do what you want them to do!

but at this point I'm use to it. When I use to watch Emilie on Roswell, they made her character evil out of nowhere. There was no lead up to it. They did it because the majority of viewers hated her character. And there's been other instances too, but Emilie's character is the clearest in my mind and the one that bothered me most. I'm more surprised when characters I love are actually treated right OR if couples I love actually end up together. Because I usually ship the couples that don't have a lot of fans.

I really only have that problem when they do it to a character from a book. I hate when they destroy a character from a book that I loved (True Blood)

do you mean Sookie? That's her name, right?
Hook from OUAT is very different from Book Hook. Which I get because A&E try to take the characters away from how we know them. But for me, they evolved Hook a little too much away from Barrie's version. __________________

Yup, Sookie. I loved her in the books and the version on screen was nothing like the book. Which was disappointing because Anna Paquin is incredible talented.
I've never read the book but I like what Colin has done, obviously __________________
