I think it will be broken during the season, but when exactly I'm not sure. It needs to play for a bit longer right now for sure.

I always wonder with shows how long they can keep a certain premise going (like Lost or OUAT s1 with the curse or the show Revenge) and what they'll do with the show once the initial premise is fulfilled (OUAT s1 curse breaks, Revenge - girl gets her revenge)

While there's still an audience it'll keep going. All shows recycle their plots, however I think it'll probably wind up this season, but you never know.
