Way too hot. It hasn't been lower than 30 degrees here since Friday. I don't own a fan so I'm suffering really bad. I've had 7 hours sleep since Friday night.

I wish you all the luck in the world I hope you get it.

The invites that never come. TBH I was shocked when before we went on holiday Luke asked his dad if he could take us to the airport, he said "yes, but i'll have to see what i'm doing." The day before he said, no. Then on the day he said "yes, but he'll drop us no where near the airport because he don't have time for us." I thought to myself, that's a bit rude, it's a saturday and you have no plans... there was no space in the boot to put our suitcase in and he just huffed and told us to shove it between us in the back, but don't scuff his mercedes up.

Then the day after we got back, his step-mom was going to Spain too and his dad asked Luke if he could drive her to the airport. Luke said yes... and then his dad had the cheek to say "Whilst your there make sure you clean your car out and make sure the boots empty for the suitcase." After we'd dropped them off I asked Luke why his dad couldn't take them and when we got back he was sat in the garden with a beer and told Luke he was off to the pub with his friends.

I know it's Luke's Dad and all, but I feel there should be equality when it comes to such things as airport drives etc. I'm afraid Luke's going to get fed up with this treatment in the end and break contact with the family. It seems to be the way it's going. I wonder if he's ever talked to his father abut this? I wouldn't be surprised if he hasn't as I've never addressed issues with my parents, either.

He addressed it when he was 16 and he got kicked out. He lived with his best friend for two years. Then moved back in, then he got kicked out again and moved in with his brother. Then he went back just before he met me and he's been there since. He pays rent, but it's just for the roof. He's not allowed to do his washing, use the kitchen etc.

I assume he doesn't have an official room rental agreement then, because if he did he'd be entitled to use communal areas, washing facilities etc, by law. I know this as we signed an official rental agreement with our friend who lives with us. You can print off a standard one off the internet.

Even so, that sounds a bad situation, I assume he can't afford to move out.

So, I have two job interviews this week. I have one today and another on Thursday, but if I get the one on Thursday, it's only a 15-16 min commute from my house. That is what you call a dream job! The job interview I have today, it's also with a print shop but it's farther (still under an hour long commute). Both are full-time.

Luke's dad is a real piece of work. It sounds like a toxic situation.

That is the best thing a job can offer cause commuting can drive a person insane.

We are working on it. We're saving for a mortgage, but I've told him if he gets kicked out a third time he can come live with me and my mom. She's okay with it, but it will be harder for her when 3 people are paying rent and then we move out. She'll have to find the money from somewhere.

I had the first job interview earlier this afternoon. Yeah, I don't think it's the right fit for me. I would have to train as an intern first before it becomes full-time, and it's difficult to get back to being an intern after having a full-time job. You notice the difference.

Hopefully, the next interview on Thursday is a better fit for me. I already know the commute will be easy.
