I was very emotional at Jen & Colin's performances along with the rest of the characters that supported Emma. And I did not see the Rumple twist coming.

You could have heard a pin drop in my house as all of us sat stunned watching what was happening. Everyone actually exhaled loudly when Hook killed his father and then when he died and Emma caught him in her arms (which was so intimately heart-wrenching).

No one saw the Rumple twist coming (and I'm beyond delighted evil Rumple is back!) and I'm the only one who knew Killian was dying.

I'm home sick from work today so am going to watch the episode again to get some jumbled thoughts in order.

The first one being - Killian was dead no matter how it all played out. He was dead the moment he was cut in Camelot.

So if Emma had made the sacrifice and removed the darkness from everyone, the cut would have still killed him.

Right? Or am I missing something?

I weren't really stunned with the ending at all. I mean we all know Hook isn't really dead, so it wasn't initially sad. I just couldn't buy it. I mean it was obvious Hook wouldn't sacrifice Emma they had dropped too many hints in previous episodes. Then when she had to stab him and she was crying I just didn't find it sad. I guess it was because I knew he wasn't gone for good. And whilst i'm here to answer the question, by killing the vessel she only killed the darkness (which technically she didn't kill because it's in Rumple) so Hook is still very much able to be brought back.

I liked the story with Hook father, however short lived it turned out to be. It was also nice to see Regina's old costume again too. I wish Liam would have got some screen time though, feel like that was a complete cop out.

I also didn't think the power went back to Rumple though, but the news weren't exactly shocking. He will never change. I give it 3 episodes before he loses Belle again.

I commend Colin though, no matter how predictable his character was he still acted flawlessly

Well, the GA was surprised! I know my mom and sister were!

And yeah, Colin was incredible as always. Even though I knew it was coming it still made me really emotional. I've gotten so invested in Emma's character that her pain really got to me.

I don't think I'm invested in any of the characters at the moment. There's always one I'm completely obsessed with, but right now I don't have one. It's so sad.
