He mostly plays an goofs around in the rock genre so'd be curious if it is country music plus he's so shy about singing on stage that I'm amazed he said to it on film.

yea, I always think it's funny how he doesn't want to sing at conventions because he sang for the Dust Storm + with The Enemies. Being a character probably really made him more comfortable singing as opposed to being himself at a convention where girls scream at him.
I'd love to hear him sing with a country twang. There's some The Civil Wars songs he'd sound great singing.

His shyness is probably why he's not the frontman of the band. I'm sure his bandmate has a great range, but Colin seems most comfortable playing guitar off the side. And even that gets him shy.

Some of my friends that are frontmen are incredibly shy and some are crazy outgoing. I think the shy ones tend to put on a stage persona and it makes it easier for them.

Do they lose themselves in the song? I heard when one is on stage under thelights, the audience is dark and you can't really "see" them so that might make it easier.

The stage is actually a very isolated place so shyness isn't really a problem. Stage fright isn't the same thing ... I know lots of really outgoing people that have stage fright.

If I was an actor I'd fear forgetting my lines, especially if I was doing a play and not a movie/tv show.
