Same way I don't like Rumple being the wuvy dovey lovesick fool in all things related to Belle. It's just not interesting to me. The characters, both of them, are so well developed, they deserve so much more than being wuvsick puppies/sidekicks.

And for the most part, I think the show succeeds in that. Thankfully!

it's the main reason I quit the show, because I didn't think the show handled my favorite characters well and I couldn't do it to myself anymore, slugging through it.

He does both amazingly and yeah, love that he can be a ruthless pirate and at the same time smitten kitten... Of course there is more to him then just that and thats what makes him who he is... And yeah, thought that it was really cool that they adressed that, when he was the DO...
