Thanks for the new one! I love the title!

I have no stories to share, sadly. We’ve not seen Loki for the 7th week now. Not seen any people except on FaceTime on a Friday night. Don’t go out except for grocery shopping. Luke was laid off and so was I. So we’re scraping the barrel for money, to the point we couldn’t afford internet last month. Can’t move home or trade the car in because garages are closed. So had to save where we could. We’ve both ran out of medication and doctors are shut. It’s a very lonely time, but I try to not think about it because there’s people out there worse off than me. People living alone, people who have lost people and then those who have it.

Touch wood I don’t know anyone who’s died of it, but I have a family member who has tested positive (my auntie.) And my brother said yesterday he was sent home from work because someone he works with tested positive and now he needs to get tested. I’m praying he’s as lucky as Luke.

All this chaos and my next door neighbour still has parties everyday. They’re always shouting about how it’s a conspiracy and that it’s all lies and no one has died from it.

It's a crazy time. I just got off the phone with my fiance. DC Unemployment sent him a follow-up email to an email he sent them a month ago. It's a backlog, and now he's freaked that he might lose his unemployment.

My fiance's employer listed him as working in Maryland which is wrong considering his job is in DC. That was resolved a month ago, but this is too an earlier email.

Calling takes up about 6 hours before you actually talk to someone and he's just really stressed.

One of my parents' friends, he recently passed away from the virus. He also had an pre-existing condition too.

sourburst, I don't know which state you live in but you should totally apply for unemployment. Get on that as soon as you can.

My fiance called me again a moment ago, he realized today is Thursday. He thought it was Friday today. The days are starting to blend together, yeah. He's calmed now a bit after realizing that.

My mom is making me panic again that DC unemployment is overpaying my employment and they might ask for the money back. If it's not the corona virus making me panic, it's my mom's panicking that's affecting my mental health.

And nooooo, are you serious... So sorry to hear that both of you got laid off, thats never fun to loose your job no matter what... But like Vic said, are you getting your job back after this whole thing is hopefully over...?
Really sorry to hear that you guys have been having a hard time and it is okay to feel like the whole thing sucks, despite that there are people having it a lot worse...
And how is Loki doing, have you been keeping up with him and Where he is during this crazy time...?

Hun, despite all the crap and stuff thats been going on, I am happy to see you back here again and you guys will get through this, even if it doesnt seem like it...

I don't know. It's been at least five weeks now since I started unemployment. If there were something wrong, I think I would have received something.

Today was supposed to be a party for my cousin’s daughter’s communion. Damn shame it can’t happen now. We have no idea when she will be receiving.

My church is the same. All these candidates who would have been confirmed this year at Easter, that's been postponed. I imagine it's probably also true for all the kids who would have received communion for the first time too.

She has a sister who is a year younger than her, so maybe they will receive communion at the same time. That'd be cute.

I'm from England. Luke can't file for unemployment because he owns his own company and I can't because here you have to either be not working for more than 3 months OR you don't qualify if you've earned too much. The sad thing is we have no savings because it all went on Loki.

Luke sadly can't go back until industries re-open since he's an electrician. He doesn't do domestic jobs only big ones like factories, buildings etc.

Loki went down to Luke's moms in London the day before my birthday (because we were meant to go London) and then on my birthday lockdown happened and we haven't been able to get him. She's not very happy, she said he's mental. We've also got no way of rehoming him with all this covid stuff going on as well.

And yeah Chris, we've been keeping up with Loki. His mom sends a photo once a day and face times once a week. He's not been great for her, to the extent she said "never again" will she have him. Upside is, at least now she understands why we can't handle it.

And nope. We rang police twice and they just said "we've made a note."

Can either of you get some kind of part time thing in a grocery store or anything else that's open?
Or is there a way to change (for now) from bigger projects to smaller, domestic ones? Adapt for the time being?

about Loki. And wasn't it Luke's mom who he used to be really good for? Was it his mom who had the dog training background?
