Yeah and Katie gets it too which is awful. I mean I love the show but Oliver is actually one of my least fav characters

And Laurel is my number one so I'm never going to be okay with the hate.

SAME SAME SAME. like i lvoe stephen and i do like oliver, but he's also A HUGE MESS. but also just because they may not like laurel.. don't bring katie into it? she's just doing herjob and acting what the writers write.

yeah, which really annoys me, and is probs why im sticking to 1D fandom because well they are themselves, can't really do anything about that. lol, i watch shows and discuss them with friends only.

Yeah I understand, its a bit easier with bandom/musicians though I've found with Adam that even that isn't hate free.

which is so so dumb, yeah, i bet 1D isn't drama free, but i tend to stick to a very small corner of the fandom that mainly involves a few people. to stay away from the masses

Yeah that's the best way to do it really, I've seen some pretty awful 1D stuff not towards the boys but girlfriends and stuff so if you can just have a little safe space that's good.

I like that comment. I would join you with the killing, although I would sooner go killing over Katie. Hate put on her is uncalled for, I will respect someone's decision if they wish to dislike or hate Laurel (even if I do not agree with it) but do not put hate on Katie

Is any fandom free of hate? It is just nice that

thankfully has some safe boards (like some of the music ones) which seem to be safe from it even if it exists in their fandom.

Yeah FF is generally pretty safe which is really nice.

But yeah IA the Katie hate is so much worse than the Laurel hate.

totally 100% agreed Rae. if you don't like a character, that's up to you. it's fine, whatev, but don't hate on the actress just because she happens to play that character? it'd be appropriate to hate on the writers who write that character. they MAKE THE CHARACTER
