We finally got more backstory into Black Sirens past (hallelujah) and we know that Katie had her own headcanon so the question….which do you prefer?

In Katie’s version, Laurel lost Quentin when she was 14 but it was a very violent death. He was murdered right in front of her and she was forced to watch him burn to death.

In Arrow, the official version, Laurel lost Quentin at the age of 13. He was killed on her birthday by a drunk driver.

It appears that both synced up with Laurel losing Quentin at practically the same age but one was more “normal” and less dramatic then the other. I would probably choose Katie’s version since it is more traumatizing and would do a good job of fitting in with the show and showing how bad E2 Starling City is/was. But either version leads to interesting variations and I hope that now that we know this info that it gets explored further and not swept under the rug.

Hmm, that's an interesting thing to think about. Would BS have become who she was with the passing of her father being more violent and brutal or because of a drunk driving incident? I think Katie's could have worked a little better? At least in my opinion, but both stories were similar with age and that it happened to Quentin. And I agree, I also hope it's explored further.

Hmm.. I don't think it matters if it was taht violent or not.. Because it still didn't push her over the edge.. It was Ollie's death that did that.. so tbh I don't really care how Quentin died..
