CAN YOU GUESS CHRIS EVANS’S FAVORITE DISNEY PRINCESS?

OF COURSE CAPTAIN AMERICA HAS A FAVORITE

No one is immune to Disney princess fever, not even Captain America. During a Tumblr Q&A over at BuzzFeed, the man behind the Vibranium steel shield, Chris Evans, revealed that he, too, has a favorite Disney princess.

Honestly, I’m not surprised. Evans is part of the Disney family now, which probably means that upon signing his nine-picture Marvel contract, he was taken into a dark room on the Disney lot, somewhere between Dopey Drive and Mickey Avenue, and forced to watch the entire Disney Animation Studios catalogue from start to finish. Either that, or he has nieces. (On second thought, it’s probably the latter.)

That being said, Evans has spoken, and his favorite Disney princes is…

…Are you getting hype?

You really should…

…BECAUSE…

…IT’S BELLE!

This beautiful bookworm from Disney’s Beauty and the Beast never judged anything by its cover, which is a good thing for Evans because there’s obviously a lot more to him than that beautiful, scruffy face.

But wait! That’s not all. (As if Captain America could only have one favorite.) Evans also revealed his other favorite Disney princess, and this pick has us singing to the high heavens. Why? Because everyone knows Meg is the best.

Hercules’s Megara is unique among Disney heroines because she’s actively opposed to the idea of falling in love thanks to a bad relationship that literally cost Meg her soul. (Again, maybe Evans can relate?)

Kudos to you, Evans, for having amazing taste in Disney princesses ???

Love his charm.

Chris Evans’ Real Superpower is His Charm | Decider | Where To Stream Movies & Shows on Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Instant, HBO Go

So far, we’ve witnessed four films from the Marvel Universe that display just how much ass Chris Evans can kick as Steve Rogers, aka Captain America. He’s helped take down Loki and Ultron and the corrupted S.H.I.E.L.D. and he just might face his toughest enemy yet in the upcoming Captain America: Civil War; none other than Tony Stark, Iron Man himself.

But as an actor (and now director), Evans’ true superpower comes through when he puts down his shield. And not just that fancy vibranium one with the star on it, but the one over his heart, too.

In between the suiting up and CGI, he’s found time to star in Playing It Cool, a movie that lovingly ribs rom-coms while fully accepting that it is one, and Before We Go, a movie about two strangers who meet in New York City on a night where their lives change forever. For the latter, he not only starred in the film, but also directed it.

In Playing It Cool, Evans stars as a screenwriter and womanizer who finally meets a lady that challenges him, except oh yeah, she’s taken. His character does that thing we all do where we pretend we can be friends with someone we deep down have romantic feelings for, except in a much more appealing way. His awkward flubs are cuter and more excusable, and while he becomes what some of us might classify as “stalky” it’s mostly in an ultra romantic way.

The film captures the feeling that you’re with them for the night out on the town, simultaneously wanting to get home already and yet never wanting the night to end. The film is quirky, but not precious about itself.

Which is true, and a major key, to both of these films; each taking on the harsh truth that love totally sucks. But with Evans in the lead, you’ll think to yourself, “Maybe it’s sorta worth it though?” He’s even good enough to make you believe that there is a woman out there that would choose some other dude over him, ever. How could she resist that charm?

Sure, Captain America shows a unique form of charisma in between his stoic, taking-care-of-business moments, and one could argue he’s certainly the most sensitive of the Marvel crew. But when all the explosions and flying shields aren’t getting in the way, you’re left with a guy playing characters you’re rooting for in a different way. Ones that aren’t just technically one of the “good guys”, but ones that might actually be a good guy. And honestly, sometimes it’s just nice to hear Chris Evans laugh.

This is an old article from last year, but I saw pop up again. Lol, some of them are unwatchable, I admit.

Fan Favorite Filmography: Breaking down the back catalog of Chris Evans

The hits and misses of Chris Evans' career - we watched them all so you don't have to

In honor of his 34th birthday, we watched ten of lesser-known Chris Evans movies so that we can tell you what’s worth catching up on.

Chris Evans is one of our favorite people over here at Hypable, and he turns 34 today. He first rose to fame in the excruciating Noughties “classic” Not Another Teen Movie, and after a somewhat less successful superhero role in Fantastic Four, he reached Marvel mega-stardom when he was cast as our beloved Cap. He has perfected the dichotomy of the duty-bound icon Captain America and the sassy, stubborn and sensitive Steve Rogers, and it’s the combination of his physicality as a great action hero and his dedication to deep character work that has drawn in thousands of new fans to the franchise.

Evans has become famously wary of celebrity — so much so that he almost didn’t take the Captain America role — and his career trajectory reflects this mindset. As a young actor he pursued mainstream success, and then backed off into more independent films, exploring many genres. He’s also hoping to pursue a career behind the camera, and Before We Go, his first feature film as a director, premiered at TIFF last year, though it’s not yet available for public consumption. But don’t worry. Behind every beloved actor is a whole filmography packed full of fantastic flops and underrated gems. We’ve watched a ton of movies from the Chris Evans back catalog in order to tell you which ones are worth your time.

‘The Perfect Score’ (2004)
Should you watch it? Sure. The Perfect Score is a little cheesy, but it’s a feel-good film with an unrepentant message about individuality. Baby Chris Evans is adorable and very natural in it, and it’s also his first co-starring role with his future superhero BFF, Scarlett Johansson.

‘Fierce People’ (2005)
Should you watch it? Objectively, the book is better, but it’s a decent watch. Bryce is a much, much darker role than Evans usually plays, and he pulls it off.

‘London’ (2005)
Should you watch it? Only if your thirst is greater than your ability to love yourself.

‘Sunshine’ (2007)
Should you watch it? Yes, because Chris Evans wants you to, and we should give the birthday boy what he wants.

‘The Loss of a Teardrop Diamond’ (2009)
Should you watch it? Unless you’re completely desperate for anything Evans — he does have a few “Mountain Lodge“-worthy scenes hauling sacks of grain and stuff — give this one a miss.

‘The Losers’ (2010)
Should you watch it? If you enjoy dude-centric action films with a lot of violence and not a lot of depth, then yes. If that’s not your thing, just fast-forward to the main Chris Evans scenes — his performance is worth watching, regardless of plot.

‘Puncture’ (2011)
Should you watch it? Absolutely. Puncture had a limited release, only showing in a handful of cinemas after premiering at Tribeca, but get your hands on it if you can. It’s one of the best performances of Evans’ career.

‘What’s Your Number’ (2011)
Should you watch it? Yes. Once, twice, three times yes. The movie’s whole premise regarding one’s “number” is pretty horrid, but every single other aspect of it — the acting, the dialogue, the comedic timing, the plot, even the cinematography, is fantastic.

‘Snowpiercer’ (2013)
Should you watch it? It’s an excellent film, but not for the squeamish. When the apocalypse comes, avoid the protein blocks.

‘Playing It Cool’ (2015)
Should you watch it? Some people loved this movie, but some people — particularly reviewers — totally hated it. Chris Evans is great in it though — he looks great, he sounds great and he appears to be having a lot of fun in the role. Ultimately, if you’re a fan, it’s a yes.
