I know one of the main criticisms was that it was too much of a period piece. I don't know if people realize this, but you can't do a Cap origin movie without it being set in the 1940s.

It doesn't make any sense.. were they expecting a futuristic origin movie for Cap

I guess they were expecting more of the story to happen in the present instead of just the first and last scene.

I was aware of Captain America, because I have 4 brothers who have the comics and are Marvel fans, but my first reason to see the first Captain movie was because I love Chris

I have always been a Cap fan even as a kid. Didn't get to read too many comics cuz I was a poor ass kid (still am lmao), but I liked the ones I could get my hands on at the library.

Hmmm, I'd say they]re about equal. The comics get hella weird though, like stupid time jumps or getting stuck in alternate universes. Just give me a linear storyline lol.
