I enjoyed the movie, but it had a lot of flaws. Some things I didn't see coming at all worked magnificently for me, others I was prepared for and even looked forward to didn't, or didn't as much as I had been hoping for. Just like in real life.

Steve had his fair share of screen time but his development was pretty much in "stand by" mode. I mean, between his vision and something he says later on in the movie they remarked his feelings about what the old (err, young?) Steve might have wanted and who he is and wants to be now, instead, but nothing we didn't know already, imo.
Also - it's Whedon, so obligatory Old Man/uptight gentleman running joke.

Yer I see that I think with certain characters it felt like they where wrapping up thier storylines where as others they where branching out

My work friend said the same thing that the over all storyline was hard for him to get his like just say it black and White .. Which is true I felt in some ways they needed to explain more so we know what to look forward to in the next avengers
