Once there was a boy who was walking through the Maze when something a big loud sound started from the horn. After that he hurried across the field to meet Minho, they started running to Thomas and caught up for some food. Wicked people tried to convince everyone that the best food was in the woods. Teresa started yelling at everyone because no one saw the dog that was coming from the maze and headed to every glader. Minho was about to call Newt but he was distracted when Teresa started to kiss Thomas. "Stop kissing him!" Minho shouted, he got jealous 'cause he like Thomas. Suddenly there was a loud growl coming from the woods and the shadow was scary and jumped away quickly. Minho grabbed Teresa by her hand but she tried to lift her leg up to his face and kicked him really hard. Thomas started to explain the story that he was remembering what his father told him when he was younger. His new vest was really tight so he asked for more material to make a new one that would fit. Out in the Glade, Chuck started to run towards Thomas to stop him from entering the Maze. Meanwhile Thomas looked for a clue to help Teresa go back from the Maze. She looked after the other gladers, helping them out with their chores and trying to make food because it is lunchtime and everyone needs energy because it helps them out. Thomas slid through the crack in the door and started to shimmy his pants off because it was hot and sticky and he didn't have any more time to waste. The Scorch was really quite hot and bare of any wind because it didn't have any sort of cool because night became day.
