actually I just read TKO today bc I couldn't let the series go. unfortunately it's still hard to decide whether wicked is good or not

I doubt we'll ever have an answer for that question xd and I think it can't even be decided based on whatever we'd know, it's not black and white. barely anything is just either good or bad..
but it's a good read, I liked it. especially the prologue and the extra chapter at the end but the middle part's interesting too. and I heard it's gonna get a sequel(?)

Yeah, the B/W is definitely true, I was trying to explain it to my sister like "they're not bad, but they're not good? It depends how you look at it. It's just all grey areas." and she was looking at me like I was insane;

really? well what's either this or that these days? I don't even know.. they wanted to find a cure but who's to decide how far they could go? they thought that they could just sacrifice whoever they desired for the noble cause..and they let children decide whether they wanted it or not, as if they could make decisions on their own. to save the world by killing some or let the majority of humankind die? tough questions for sure :/

Exactly, it's hard to explain to a person from the outside. But most villains nowadays have such a backstory that you doubt their evilness, i quite like that.

me too. for example these movies about the evil queens recently, Snow White and the Huntsman and Maleficent, now I'm biased bc I love Charlize and Angie so it's impossible for me to hate them for any role but they really want us to know that they were just victims who aren't actually evil
