Tftnt! Ah, Thor. So humble and noble.

Well, at least he would if they stopped trying to make him more "human" and underpowered. Things were better in AoU, though, at least on that front (which still doesn't make up for the fact that he had almost as little screentime as Hawkeye did in the first instalment).

Seeing him so sidelined in AoU has soured things a little with the MCU for me at the moment. I still have to watch Ant-Man, and I can't get myself to care one bit about Civil War and its 187 characters yet.

Huh, I always complain about Thor's lack of presence in the MCU with Emma and Sam. Just a week ago, I posted this in his thread over at the Avengers board and I stand by my word.

I don't know if he's an afterthought in the fandom because I am not that much into it anymore, and back when I was I used to talk with a lot of cool people who loved Thor, but it's depressing how much potential the character has and how little they have used it so far.
I didn't hate or find OOC what they wrote for him in AoU or TDW, it was just... too little or too weak. __________________

I think he is an afterthought in the fandom. It might not seem that way, but just going through my dash and reading the posts, you'd think he was barely a blip on the radar. I follow a lot of Thor/Hemsy blogs, but I barely ever see a post about him, except for when the Loki/Thor fans fight and it shows up on my dash lol. Natasha and Bucky are more fan favorites that Thor seems to be. I don't even particularly like Scarlett as Natasha either. Still wish Emily Blunt could have played her.

I still have to understand the fandom's hard-on for Bucky. Outside of his connection to Steve, I'm pretty indifferent to him and very meh about the possibility that he might take the title of Captain America in the movie-verse. How many lines has he even had in total so far?
And as much as I like Natasha, I think a part of why she has so many fans is that she is one of the very few female characters in the main cast, so people are extra supportive and protective of her by default, regardless of how they feel about the writing/performance. The thing is, unless I was already a huge Thor fan as I am, would I pay that much attention to the character after the little we got to see him do in Age of Ultron? I'm not surprised he's somehow ignored at the moment, even though it saddens me. __________________
