I still haven't seen it yet. I was supposed to go Monday with
a friend but my car decided to almost die on Sunday so Monday had to be driven to pick up my car after work and wait on it. So...has not been a good week or weekend. |

Yikes, the box office for the movie looks really bad. It only generated $19.4M for its opening weekend on the US.

Yep. As far as I'm concerned Universal got what
they deserved. I'm sorry for the actors but they'll be ok. They got paid a salary-they just won't get any residuals from it. The bad reviews didn't help. That didn't hurt the first one but ... funny thing is, most of the actual people who saw it, gave it 4 stars on Fandango? So there should have been good word of mouth? idk |

I guess this kind of nixes their idea to create a universe out of the movie.

You never know. During press for the first one, Chris said all the actors signed for 3 films. I'm going but waiting on getting someone to go with me. If not, I'll go by myself. |

I'm not surprised by the BO results. The reviews and numbers scored by the first movie suggested that people weren't interested in seeing more of the story, but I guess studios really love the fairytale wave and will keep trying to milk anything they can from it.

Well, Disney seems to be doing alright with their live action fairytale movies, but it seems like other studios just can't get the same results.

Hmm, I've seen some of the titles announced for the future and they scream mess to me. The Jungle Book is doing really well, though.

I'm actually not too keen on Chloe Grace Moretz as Ariel in the live action movie lol.

Word. Or Emma Watson, Emma Stone and Reese Witherspoon as Belle, Cruella and Tinkerbell. I'll pass on the whole bunch.
Maybe they'll consider Chris again for Hercules or John Smith. __________________
