I did like the movie and the ending, but the movie had been hyped so much that somehow I expected something... crazier, or more mind-blowing, I don't know.

I definitely expected too much from the film.

Not that it wasn't entertaining, because it was, I just went into it expecting that my jaw would drop at the concept or some of the twists.

Truth.
That's not to say he's a bad writer in general, he has his moments. But he is also overrated.
