I did manage to see it!
But people lied to me when they said Chris made it almost to the end - unless them and I have a different understanding of what making it to the end means.

since they showed the first victim's blood flowing in that stone carvings, but I was thinking of

some alien force commanding humans to do it, not the angry ancient gods revealed at the end.

I'd say he made it to the 70th percentile of the movie.

The sad thing is that I remembered what happened to the eagle flying near the same tunnel the guys got stuck at, but that "he makes it almost to the end" made me think he wouldn't go through with the jump (got interrupted or something), so I was super bummed to see him pummel down after hitting the invisible barrier.
