The Fan Forum Graphics Team is in the process of (re)customising message boards and now it's your turn!

If you have any picture or colour suggestions please post them in this thread. Don't post (hotlink) the pictures, links to them are fine. Make sure that the pictures are of as high quality as possible and that the top of the head of the person in the picture isn't cropped off. We also like to use photoshoot images when possible, preferably individual pictures of each cast member. When suggesting colours please keep in mind that some colours will work better than others. The Team usually tries to avoid really vibrant and dark colours because we have found in the past that they are hard to look at for long periods of time. If you would like some help coming up with colour combinations we recommend checking out the Color Palettes or Coolors websites. As we want every board to have their own unique look it is preferable that you do not link to the customisations of other boards as suggested colour schemes.

Everyone is encouraged to voice their opinions for this as you are the ones who will be posting on the board and we hope to make as many people happy with the finished result as possible. It does not matter if you are a board moderator, regular poster, or casual poster here. If you have a suggestion, please share it here with us .

Your suggestions for possible pictures and colours will be taken into serious consideration, but in the interest of seeing every board receive the best customised look possible the final decision concerning how this board will be customised will be made by the members of the Graphics Team. This is because we want to make sure that the selected graphic and colours fit into the overall design scheme that we've established for Fan Forum.

Please leave this topped until a week or so after the board has been (re)customised.

Note: It usually takes approximately two weeks for us to finish making the new banner and the sooner we know what you want, the more we can work on it (though it can take a few months or so to set it up with the new colours on the board), so please let us know your suggestions as soon as possible.

When the Team have finished making the graphic I will close this thread until the graphic and colours get put up. It will then be re-opened so that you can share your thoughts about it.

Thanks! I was thinking since Chris loves the beach and his eyes are blue, how about a beach color pallet? Some examples using maybe 2 or 3 shades of blue and then light sand color. sky blue, ocean blue and ocean spray and sand.
And of course, we need newer pics for the banner.

We can't use those pictures but we can use the colours in them as inspiration for the colour scheme

He hasn't done many photoshoots in the last few years, but here they are. I'm not overly fond of the Entertainment Weekly one. I think it's too dark and then it has that red tone to it too which I don't think looks too good.

If you're thinking beach colours you may wish to take a look through these water-themed colour palettes. these ocean-themed colour palettes, these beech-themed colour palettes, or these blue colour palettes. Unfortunately it is harder to search for a set theme on that last site. You can search via two colours, for example blue & yellow which may give you more options similar to what you are thinking. Another option is to do a Google Images search for 'beach colour schemes' which will also give you some suggestions

When it comes to pictures, which photoshoots would you like to see us use? We want to know what you'd like to see, not necessarily what his most recent ones are. So if he doesn't do much or you prefer slightly older ones we can look at using those. The photoshoot also doesn't have to match or fit the theme of the colour scheme. As for the EW one being too dark/red toned - we can probably fix that. Since we only use the faces, the background does matter, & we could easily brighten them up. I'm sure we could remove the red-tone to them too when adjusting skintones. I feel like these three pictures from that shoot would be usable for example. But if you're not fond of that photoshoot, we don't want to use it. We want you to like the photos in the graphic

We need more than three colours for a colour scheme. Did you like the other colours or would you like some changes made to them?

I do believe that's the same photoshoot. I love all those pics so I'm good with all of them. For the banner, use the close-ups with him looking at camera straight.
