I rarely change my avatar as I do it maybe once per year, I find one that I really like then stick with it for a long time - I do not change it every few days or weeks - not that people who do that are wrong to do that I am just not like that. I appreciate all the work you have done for other people who do like to switch and change as now they have some choice in pre-made avi's to use without resorting to Googling for some or making some themselves (as I have done many times, so time consuming and I just do not have the patience for that graphic stuff any more!)

When I first started visiting online forums and social media, I'd always keep the same pic saying that it was "me" and nothing could change that. Then I got bored with me, lol.

I get that, bit for me I still like choosing one and keeping it for a while. I do generally change them every 6 - 12 months nowadays. I once had the same avatar for 4 years straight on and it was a HUGE deal to the other posters that I changed it - they were all shocked!

Well, there comes a point where I stop noticing people's names and then only notice by their pic (especially when I'm scrolling through a page fast). It has happened to me before where a regular would change their pic and they'd talk to us like we're BFF and I'm like "who is this random thinking they know me?" lol. I love it.

Also has happened more times than I'd care to admit, hehe.

I also had a guy who used a picture of Kurt Russell from some random movie and he used it for so long, I associated that with him. Once we became friends on facebook...I was shocked that he wasn't in fact Kurt Russell. You just start to associate that with people. Of course, that makes you a Minecraft character and me the dead mother from Psycho, woot woot!!!
