Thanks for that info! I would never have known as I stopped playing this game about 6 weeks ago as I got bored... Might check it out once this starts to see whether it sparks my enthusiasm for it again, probably has a new update since I last played to download though first.

OMG you just gave me the best idea. Have a big sign on your house for Halloween saying "rare pokemon here" and then they'd come to the door and you're like TRICK!!! haha.

It makes sense as to why your pokemon do not get more powerful from training in gyms but only evolve when you feed them 'candies'. In the normal pokemon games only fighting in gyms can evolve them or 'rare candies' can do it. You do not find candy everywhere like in Pokemon Go or sell off your unwanted pokemon to the Professor when he slaughters the pokemon to make candy for that type of pokemon and gives it to you. I guess some trainers saw that as cruel and the practice was halted, which is why the system on all Pokemon Games (apart from the first Pokemon game in the chronology of the series which appears to be Pokemon Go) they do not give you candies as they are banned so thus, they are 'rare candy'. So many other things that point to Pokemon Go being the FIRST in all of the Pokemon games ever made - think of this as 'The Phantom Menace in Star Wars terms - the beginning of the story. Crazy, but seems legit true when you watch the above compelling video!!
