Interested to see where the story goes with Liu Kang, Kitana, and Kung Lao ruling the Netherrealm. Are they going to be the main antagonists, or will Shang Tsung return from the dead to fill that role? His soul is inside Ermac, who story-wise is way OP and needs to be nerfed to better match his gameplay. And if Tsung came back, would he have a way to cure Raiden and the revenants? Hope Mileena comes back too, her tower ending explained how that could possibly happen. And the return of Kreate-A-Fighter would be nice.

This Reboot of the Mortal Kombat series is amazing! It is real to life with twists and hints of the supernatural things from the real MK but has the REAL grit and dirt of reality as the base of the show!!

It has TWO seasons freely available on YouTube and other sites.

Not heard anything about such a film as yet, still we have these episodes watched nonstop as a decent substitute though!

Considering how there's so many characters and backstory, they could go the MCU route and make several smaller movies building up to a MK Tournament crossover.

- Sub-Zero/Scorpion origin introducing Quan Chi and the Netherrealm, with cameos by Kuai Liang, Cyrax and Sektor (pre-Cyber conversion)
- Special Forces movie about Sonya and Jax trying to track Kano and the Black Dragon while accompanied by Johnny researching for a role
- Shaolin Monks movie following Liu Kang and Kung Lao on a mission from Raiden to defend Earthrealm from the first Outworld invaders (Kitana & Mileena?), appearance by Bo Rai Cho
- Outworld origin about the invasion of Edenia introducing Shao Kahn, Shang Tsung, Kitana, Mileena, Goro, Baraka, Reptile and Ermac
- MORTAL KOMBAT TOURNAMENT!
