N64 Goldeneye was stunning, made me buy an N64, which eventually gave me LOADS of hours of gaming fun so I owe Mr Bond for that

Definitely true. Really revolutionized modern day multiplayer games too. Imagine halo without multiplayer. All thanks to Goldeneye and the boys at Rare.

GoldenEye 007 is a legendary FPS game imho (along with Spasim, Maze War, Wolfenstein and Doom.)

I didn't like GoldenEye: rogue Agent, it had no great gameplay, it was all shhot no story, got monotonous and boring to me, same thing all the way through the game, I wasted $90 buying that game new when it was first released, within a month it dropped to $30 because of its low sales...

I got Goldeneye (Wii) a few days ago, I love playing online while hubby likes playing the real game. I really love playing the Goldeneye and Conflict Team.

Would anyone like sharing their code so that we could play together? Feel free to message me.

Has anyone else played this game? What are your thoughts?

I have been playing the original N64 GoldenEye 007 game since 1996. I still play it ever few weeks. It and its 'spiritual' sequel PerfectDark also on the N64.

I have played the dull PS2 GoldenEye 007 game which was so boring and repetitive in the way enemies appeared where you'd expect them to appear...

I also have the XBOX360 port of the Wii GoldenEye 007 game that you play. My Wii died 3 years ago so no way I can play that game - I did play its first level in Single Player mode and hated it to hell and back! How can 007 die from sliding off of the front hood of a van?! You tell me!? Glitch-tastic I found that game to be so not very fun. The XBOX360 version seems to be just the same game with much better graphics.

Why don;t Nintendo or whomever owns the proper rights to the original game source release it as MicroSoft did with the 007 'spiritual' sequel 'PerfectDark' for the XBOX360 with the original game being made over - not a remake at all. It is LITERALLY the original N64 game code and polygons etc but with 1080p textures, above-30frames per second frame-rate, High-Rez faces on the characters and bump-mapping makes this version superb. Also, it utilizes the right-analogue stick as opposed to the old 4-yellow buttons that the N64 used as a right analogue stick. It was the first to add a 360* analogue stick to the console genre - not Sony. They copied Nintendo (as always) and made it a bit better. Did Nintendo sue them as Apple does these days with its better competitors products? No. It simply went above them and made something innovative and truly better. Unlike Apple.

I didn't like the revamped Goldeneye I'd rather play the 64 version.

Ditto in all ways for all reasons - yes, I have tried them all so I am not judging things I do not understand.

Hubby was searching the net for the N64 Goldeneye, and someone wanted $170 dollars for it.

I do love the Wii GoldenEye. The graphics are awesome.

Does anyone have a specific fav JB game?

GoldenEye 007 on my Nintendo 64. I have my game that I bought for $29 new in 1998. I also have a spare cartridge of it too after my original one was stolen a few years ago. I got it back. All my saves from all those years ago are still alive in it too, I have got nearly every cheat that is available.

So is the wii version like the older version, only using the wiimote to shoot and things like that? Because I loved that game so if it's similar to the N64 version, I'll probably give it a shot.
