Games - First Person Shooter/FPS Appreciation Games Thread #1

Discuss anything FPS-related in here. Loves, hates old FPS new FPS yet to be released FPS ideas for 'should be released' FPS...anything.

My fave FPS games are (in no particular order other than they popped into my head when they did!

):

GoldenEye 007, CoD3, CoD4, Perfect Dark, Doom, Bioshock, Wolfenstein, Perfect Dark Zero, Half Life, Battlefield Series, CoD WaW, BLACK...several others that I find hard to remember atm.

The ones I loathe are:
Red Steel, GoldenEye - Rogue Agent, RfoM, Far Cry - Vengeance.

The first FPS game I played was Wolfenstein on a bootleg 3.5" Floppy disc back in the early 1990s. The next one was Doom, then GoldenEye 007 on N64....etc

I liked Doom & Rainbow Six: Vegas. Still have to play Bioshock & GoldenEye.

Half Life, Call of Duty, Bioshock are only a few coming to mind that are a lot of fun.

CoD3 was awesome on the Wii! I don't like the options on the Wii controls for CoD WaW though - I wanted the controls I used in CoD3 on the Wii.....they don't have that as an option though!

I will be playing CoD4 on my 360 when I buy the game (could borrow it from my Brother but he still uses it too much!

)

I just played Quantum of Solace on the Wii - it has good graphics, good controls but there are times when you'd expect him to not die then he does. Example: I dropped from a roof of a house onto the roof of a van (about a 2M drop), I then dropped HALF that distance (about a 1M drop) onto the roof of a car - - that killed me!?! So many death scenes like that... this games sucks due to bugs in gameplay, good graphics and controls but loses big points in gameplay. I expected more from the game developers: Treyarch (they made CoD3 and CoD WaW and Quantum of Solace.)

I love Halo and GRAW. I like the campaign in Halo and the multiplayer in GRAW. I also liked .... hmm... can't remember the name of the game/franchise.

I like Bioshock but it was a little too spooky for me.

I have yet to play any of the Halo Series for until now I have never owned an Xbox or a 360, what is GRAW?

Ghost Recon Advanced Warfare.

I only played the second game, I liked it but I prefer Rainbow Six when it comes to more tactical game.

The tactical game/ campaign was okay. But GRAW was so fun to play multiplayer online.

Fallout is pretty good. I don't have it but I know someone who does.
