Oooh, the classics. You cannot beat the classics. I liked PacMan but I really liked Space Invaders. I hated Asteroids though. It was just too stressful. LOL

Space Invadors is cool. I used to really love it, but now less. I tried playing an online version a while ago and quit after finishing the first level.

And....Commandor Keen! Who loves him? I downloaded Keen 4 last night... I found a site (full of old games) that has all six. I downloaded a bunch of other good oldies: Digger, SimAnt (when was htat? I remember playing it in third grade)....

In Asteroids, you pilot a ship, kind of, and you have to shoot the asteroids that are coming at you. If you hit the bigger ones, they'll break up into smaller one and then you'll have to try to hit them. But your ship is in the center of the screen and you basically rotate it 360 degrees shooting at asteroids coming at you.

I've never hear of Keen?

But I love Qubert and Digdug too.

If Asteroids is what I'm thinking of, I don't like it either.

I don't think Keen was big in the USA; he's this little kid that's on a quest game, y'know, find and eat the candy, avoid the bad guys (slugs and the like), in various world; there's Dreamworld, ice, don't really remember.

Ah, I'll have to check it out.

I tried to get an emulator so I could play some of the older stuff, but I couldnt' get it to work out right. Sucks.

I can only imagine how old you are if you don't know or played Asteroids before

I hated Q-bert. I could never get the Atari controller to go the right way. The only game I remember that was fun was Moon Patrol.

Centipede. That was a fun game. I never made it very far. I have lousy eye-hand control.

Frogger! Fun game, but so annoying. We got it for the playstation and that version is so much harder than the original.

What was the name of the game where you play this guy and you have to swing over holes and alligator and stuff? It was very popular.

It was Pitfall. I didn't really understand the goal of the game. Basically it was run underground, jumping on the mouths of alligators and swinging on vines.

Isn't it amazing how graphics on the NES used to be awesome? I remember being wowed by the original Contra since it was a side-scroller, then it turned almost into a first person shooter in the enemy base missions.

did you know that they have a new Pitfall game out? I can't remember the name of it but I know they have it on PS2..

Yep, it got bad reviews, I think. Frogger turned me off on the remakes because it was so hard. So hard. LOL
