As much as I approve of hunting down and eliminating the telly-ban, a modern day AC game is going against the point of the AC series. It'd be like a football game, without a football. We had a glimpse of a WWII AC game, in AC Syndicate. I would love to see that expanded upon into a full game, especially if Lydia Frye is the protagonist. I don't think the series should explore any era after WWII.

I love any period setting for the game. I can't imagine a single second of history they can't set an AC game that won't be bloody awesome.
