It’s longer than Odyssey (especially the campaign is way longer). I don’t get why they said it was short.

I've been in a AC mood lately, so I just got Black Flag, Unity, and Syndicate

(Never played these games before so I'm new to the AC world)

Have you played any AC games before? Although you can play some of the games out of order, I really recommend starting with either the first or second one. IMO, the second one is the strongest game.

I've been playing the Ezio Collection and Origins before I got these games.
