3x19 - episode discussion

Lance (Paul Blackthorne) continues his mission to take down the Arrow (Stephen Amell) so Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) orders Oliver to keep a low profile. However, when a meta-human named Jake Simmons (guest star Doug Jones), who kills people with blasts of energy and plasma, starts terrorizing Starling City, Oliver is forced to ask Ray (Brandon Routh) for help. The unlikely duo is forced to team up to save the city. Doug Aarniokoski directed the episode with story by Jake Coburn and teleplay by Ben Sokolowski & Brian Ford Sullivan.

I really enjoyed this episode.

The Oliver/Ray team up was nice. I loved Oliver's eye roll while he was talking and the fact that he told Felicity that there was a decent chance that her and Palmer were related. His reaction when she looked at him for saying that was hilarious.

For a second, I truly believed that they had killed Roy and I was so glad when it was revealed that he was still alive. The Team Arrow goodbye was so sad.

Felicity telling Oliver whether he is in a suit or under a hood, he was the man that she (loved) believed in was great. I also liked the scene where Ray realized that Felicity was in love with Oliver.

At this point, everyone knows that Oliver and Felicity are in love with each other and they just need to stop messing around and be together.

Can't wait for the final four episodes, especially 3x20.

Burn Our History

Never let it be said that Arrow lacks on the good-byes or the blow you out of the water endings. This was one of those great episodes that seemed to find a balance between the story and characters and the intense, borderline shocking, drama that can take place.

Although... is it just me or does everyone who stabs someone on this show have an insanely precise knowledge of anatomy and how to mortally wound without killing? Rash and Diggle's guy on the inside. Nuts.

And they did a good job of setting Oliver up not only to take the deal and become the Demon's Head but also for what happens beyond that. Felicity said it best... he's not the Arrow anymore. Interesting prospects for Oliver, for sure.

the Team Up was about the best thing of this episode.. otherwise I didn#t like it that much..
