3x05 - episode discussion

When a cyber attack brings Starling City to its knees, Oliver (Stephen Amell) and Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) are pushed to their limits to contain the destruction. Life gets even more complicated for Felicity when her mother, Donna (guest star Charlotte Ross), stops by for a surprise visit. Meanwhile, Ted Grant (guest star JR Ramirez) questions Laurel’s (Katie Cassidy) motives, and Thea (Willa Holland) buys an apartment with Malcolm’s (John Barrowman) “estate” money, which infuriates Oliver. Nolan Funk guest stars as Felicity’s ex-boyfriend.

Michael Schultz directed the episode written by Ben Sokolowski & Brian Ford Sullivan (#305).

This episode was fantastic, Felicity was amazing. Finally a centric episode. Loved Oliver's scenes with Mama Smoak. Also how he was there for Felicity during the whole episode is beyond beautiful These two <333 His final words to her melt my heart.

Also loved Oliver/Thea scenes. SO happy this dynamic is getting attention this season.

I thought the episode was good, but not as good as I hope it would be.. in the end it was all pretty classic and I thought it would be more original.. but it was a good episode

I thought the plot was a little weak, but the character moments really made me love this episode.

Loved Team Arrow meeting Mama Smoak.

Oliver not wanting Sara in the foundry was hilarious. "Who's she going to tell Oliver?"

MG said that this episode had quality Olicity and I took that to mean that they didn't have very many scenes together, but I was glad I was wrong. IMO, they had quality and quantity. I really missed seeing them interact with each other and this was a really good episode for them.

Loved Felicity/Mama Smoak. I hope she comes back again. She was really funny.

The one thing that I hated about this episode was the fact that Felicity and Diggle didn't really have a scene together. I love their relationship and I hate that they haven't had a scene together this season.

The scene at the end made me excited for 306. I really hope Roy didn't kill Sara.

I think it either was him and this is the beginning of him going dark.. or it will be revealed it wasn't him next episode

Absolutely adore Felicity and this was a great episode for her Oliver defending her as the Arrow was fantastic couldn't be her that did the cyberness this time even if she created it
