If anyone here is interested in Sam's work outside of Outlander, his film When the Starlight Ends *shot between the two halves of the first season of Outlander) recently premiered at the Other Venice Film Festival in California. Sam took home the Best Actor award, and the film also won the festivals Best Actress and Best Film awards.

Here are some clips- It's kind of cool to hear Sam's American accent through a bit of his brogue still comes through on a couple of words.

Just before they started filming the first season of Outlander, Sam made a small movie called The Heart of Lightness. The cast also included Laura Donnelly (who plays Jamie's sister Jenny Murray in Outlander) and Rosie Day (who played Mary Hawkins in the second season of Outlander)
