Speaking as a guy, a beard is hot and itchy at times. It is so much better to be clean shaven to have clean shaven face and shorter hair.

This is kind of sweet.
As many of you know, a few years ago, Sam created a fundraiser called My Peak Challenge. This is a community of people who work to achieve goals. For many those goals are health related and MPC provides diet plans, recipes, and workouts. But a lot of people also take on nonphysical challenges (writing a book or learning to play an instrument for example.). Registration is $99 (though there are MPC "angels" who donate money to cover the registration costs of those who can't pay) and "peakers" have access to a private facebook group where other peakers support them as they work toward their goal. All of the money raised (registration fees, merchandise etc) goes to Bloodwise, a charity that funds blood cancer research. The money raised by MPC has gone to support several major projects. It's a great program because it's helped a lot of people live healthier, happier, more productive lives and to top it off, it raises a lot of money for a good cause. This weekend MPC had their first ever community gathering, where peakers from all of the world went to Glasgow to take part in a weekend of activities, workouts, and a gala. Sam never officially committed to be there (his schedule is a bit crazy) but really wanted to. He was in NYC last week and had planned to fly back to Glasgow on Friday. He did eventually make it (a little late) after cancelled flights and lost luggage. Last edited by jane smith; 09-24-2017 at 06:19 PM |
