I agree with this. For me the 3rd book itself was a bit disappointing.Print shop scene was just okay (I was really looking forward to seeing it onscreen) although I really liked the scenes with her in 1960's boston, I thought they did a really good job. Even with making her look a bit older in those scenes. Sex scenes were okay, I was looking forward to seeing how a few of them in particular were going to play out from the book to onscreen

. But I was a little bored with the stuff in Jamaica.. and the "Save Ian" thing which has been done soo many times (like "Save Henry" from season 3? of once upon a time) a couple episodes later I forgot all about Ian!

I think they did a terrible job of making them look older. They should have used makeup to age them a bit. It's kind of hard to take it seriously at times.

I did notice that the show gave up even TRYING to make them look older after a few episodes... that was my only issue at times. It WAS hard to take it seriously by the end of the season because they still looked really young but were supossed to be about 49 years old

He's a big part of the books, I assume the TV producers won't leave him out of the show.

lol! at least they seemed like they were trying to make her look older when she was in the 60's

after that they were just like "well you guys just use your imagination!"

its going to be MUCH harder for them to get away with it around season 4 and 5 when there are other factors and they are really supposed to look their age! *sorry for being vague I don't want to spoil it for folks who haven't read it yet*

I agree, lol. I couldn't take their first sex scene seriously because physically, they looked exactly the same. I mean, come on! They should both look older, but I think especially Jamie should look older! Those were hard times and he was outside a lot!

Jade - that's good to know! I've only read the first book, so I don't know what happens after that!

I don't like audiobooks cause somebody retelling it influences how I imagine it.
