And finally took the cat and dog to the vet and $388 later....And the cat was only $69 for hers. Granted most of the dog's was a year supply of his heartworm medicine and 6 month supply of flea and tick medicine (which that one I use an expensive one for him since none of the others seem to work). And I got a prescribtion to fill for the dog for Xanax for him.

Yikes! That is a lot. I can't believe how expensive medicine is for pets.

I will not be around tomorrow to post. I am going out of town for the night so I won't be able to post again until Saturday.

Yes but I think it's more commonly used for anxiety which my dog has a severe case of with loud noises. I haven't gotten it yet. But for a year of heartworm medicine was $104 and 6 month flea and tick medicine was $114. And then $16 to cut his nails (which he badly needed and I'm too scared to do it myself) So his annual exam with his shot plus I did the 4 way test that test for heartworm, lyme disease and 2 other diseases caused my ticks was $85. Which one of the test looked liked it was trying to turn postiive but he said he wasn't clear enough to call it positiive. I forget which one it was but he said it wasn't serious and they don't usually do much for it as long as the dog is fine.

Medicine is expensive. I guess our medicine would be insanely expensive if not for insurance. But if you take the heart worm medicine it's really like $8-9 a month and $20 a month for the flea and tick one. Just seems like it's a lot because you're paying for it all upfront.

Sorry your dog has bad anxiety

That is true about people medicine and also about paying for animal meds all up front.

Hope everyone has had a good weekend so far

We went to an amusement park today. We have 2 that are fairly close to us. This one is about an hour away and a tad bit more expensive and busier. But the other one is about 45ish minutes away but it has more rides but besides a few rides I like the one we went to better. It's so clean. I believe it's won awards for most beautiful theme park in the world before. Plus because we live in the state they have a fun pass where it's the same price as a daily ticket but you can come back throughout the summer. Pretty much a season pass minus the free parking and it ends earlier.

We did spend the extra money on fast passes where you skip the line on most of them (it wouldn't let you do it on 3 of them, one of them is a new ride they opened this year). And with the park being pack like it was it was so worth it.

My nephew is kind of like that. He likes the idea of going somewhere but then he wants to go back home. He's such a momma's boy though. And sensitive. His sister loves going places and staying the night with others. Not him. He rather stay home.
