That sounds really sucky! I just went to a BBQ and Luke aunties stables, but it was horribly awkward. She was peeved about a status i put on Facebook about not trusting people who like both cats and dogs, and introduced me to people as Luke's 'friend' and then blanked us for an hour, so we left.

I honestly thought she was jokingly

so I laughed it off when she said she weren't talking to me. To realise she was serious and now laughing has probably made it worse. She has both a cat and dog though, so she probably thought she was being targeted. She also thinks her cat is her dad reincarnate, so it's probably another reason that she took it personal.
