No I would guess that Asterix would not make much sense to USA

It's a comic about the rebellious Gallic "corner" or the Roman Empire, they have this druid that makes a magic drink that makes them insanely strong

The big guy in the picture Obelix fell into the cauldron as a kid and is therefor always strong - the others have to drink when they need it.
And they always outsmart the Roman army
