I loved the side-plot of the rest of the squad sprucing up the break room. It was a good in theory...but it became too nice and therefore uncomfortable and unusable. Skir-plash.

I also loved the other side-plot of Santiago teaching Gina how to change a tire. Gina got Santiago to change her tire for her while she watched a twenty-minute video of a monkey getting its hair combed. Oh, Santiago, how did you not see that Gina was schooling you? I loved that Santiago couldn't let it go. She was determined to teach Gina how to change a tire and nothing and no one was going to make her give up. Too bad she slashed a random stranger's tire. Aw, Gina changed the random stranger's slashed tire! I loved that she used Santiago's car for practice. Count it as a win, Santiago. Count it as a win.

I kind of can't stand Scully and Hitchcock (Scully especially) so meh...

Of course Amy wanted to show her stuff And thanks? Gina? Maybe?

The perp that Peralta and Diaz were trying to bust got away, and they just ruined a three-month operation. And if that wasn't bad enough, they looked bad in front of their hero/idol, Lieutenant Hawkins. This day is already not starting off well. I loved that they wanted to find Ocampo for Hawkins so that she wouldn't be mad at them anymore. Hawkins allowed Peralta and Diaz to work the Ocampo case with her, and she dangled the open spot on her squad in front of them. It looks like we're in for some competition between Peralta and Diaz for that spot.



Peralta siphoning gas out of Diaz's bike and Diaz stealing Peralta's steering wheel was kind of entertaining.

Aw, I loved that neither Diaz or Peralta took credit for finding Ocampo. Peralta wanted Diaz to be the star in Hawkins' eyes and Diaz wanted Peralta to be the star in Hawkins' eyes. I knew that they would do it, because that's the kind of people that they are. I love their friendship and loyalty towards each other. I loved that they tried to play it cool when Hawkins offered them both a spot on her task force...but then they couldn't hold in their excitement when they were alone.



Oh, no. Hawkins is dirty? I knew I should have gone with my gut.

Uh-oh, Hitchcock and Scully are fighting, because Scully lied about being sick so that he could spend time with Shatz instead of honoring their post church Sunday tradition. =( I loved that Sarge tried to resolve it...



I loved that Sarge took away Hitchcock and Scully's chairs so that they would apologize to each other and stop fighting. It probably would have worked if they hadn't slipped on the ranch dressing on the floor.

Holt lost Santiago's favorite pen and he was worried that she would be upset. I loved that she was furious about it...until she found out that it was Holt who lost it. Aw, Santiago is incapable of being mad at Holt. She couldn't even tell him off. "It grates my cheese. I mean, it just really grates my cheese. Grr!" was the best she could do.

Aw, Holt did it! He got Santiago to yell at him for losing her pen. It almost worked too well because she brought up how sick she was of him playing his classical music in his office all day. And then...



I loved that neither Sarge and Boyle's ideas work, but Gina, genius that she is, resolved the conflict between Scully and Hitchcock by treated them like animals -- filthy, wild animals -- and getting them to make up.
