This part: ( Charles Boyle (Joe Lo Truglio) and Gina Linetti (Chelsea Peretti) continue their love affair–their secret, shameful love affair.) definitely confirms that Boyle and Gina have been sneaking around since the finale, right? I figured that is where their storyline would go given the time jump because that gives the story more importance in present-day than it would have had if they had just had them dealing with hiding the fact that they slept together once, months ago.

I'm actually really curious about how a Charles and Gina relationship would work. I think that it could either just be really weird or weird enough that it works for both characters .

I thought that it was a one time thing, but apparently it isn't You do have a point though, there's more story in there if they continued their "secret, shameful love affair". I wonder if they can't help themselves or they actually like each other enough to make it work. Who knows with those two weirdos?

I was confused at first when I read the Jake and Amy part of the article too . I looked up what he could have meant by saying stop-start stop-start: definition of stop-start in Oxford dictionary (American English) (US) and I think he just means that they will continue to move forward, but there will be roadblocks so their progress won't be quickly. In terms of last season their relationship moved forward when Jake was going to ask her out, but it was stopped from going further because she was already dating Teddy by then. This season I think it means that their relationship made progress/changed by Jake's confession at the end of last season, but they still probably will be stuck in the same place of not being together for awhile.

It fits given the spoilers we got about Thanksgiving episode.

As Lauren said, Gina and Boyle still be together makes all the sense when it comes to timing, since we have a time jump. I wonder if it will be something like Monika said on the other thread, a 'Angela and Dwight' thing were they never actually tell anyone because she's kind of ashamed of liking him.

I never watched The Office, but Gina would be really ashamed about liking Boyle and regardless of how much they end up being into their relationship it would still be super weird for the both of them, so I can see what you guys are saying about why they are keeping it a secret. How long were Dwight and Angela together before everyone found out?

I think that they will either make the Gina/Boyle thing a long term thing or they will probably end it once everyone finds out, because maybe a lot of the appeal of their relationship for them is the sneaking around. Whether happens, it is going to be interesting .

It has been a while since I watched The Office, but as far as I can remember they spent almost the whole 9 season sneaking around without most people finding out. And the ones who did know, pretended they didn't. I'm not sure I could see things going the same way with Gina and Boyle though. This is really confusing, at least until we see the first episode there's no way to know.

Dwight and Angela have been "sleeping together" since Season 1. I think it might have been Season 2 or 3 (?) when Jim saw them kissing.
Not sure how they'll write the Gina/Boyle storyline either. I can definitely see Gina keeping it a secret and Boyle blabbling it out by accident to Jake.
