Idk, if the couple's love is strong and they have interesting storylines they never become boring. One of my favorite couples from a comedy shows are Chandler & Monica and Hyde & Jackie. There was not a single moment that I wasn't entertained, it's a matter of writing (they fcked it up with Hyde & Jackie though, I will always be upset about it).

The writers can definitely pull it off. Jake/Amy have the potential to be an interesting couple even after they get together

Gonna bring it up again - Ben/Leslie and Andy/April were written by the same people and were done wonderfully. I really think they can do the same with Jake/Amy, if they weren't so scared/hesitant.

I don't think any major Jake/Amy scenes for the Chopper episode. The main interaction will be the finale episode.
