That's definitely the issue...I feel like they're so afraid of writing boring happy ever after, that they write couples really unnaturally to give them drama. Jake and Amy on this show proves that's not necessary. They have conflict still of course at times but I never ever have to worry that they won't do them justice.

Exactly. It's perfectly okay for a couple to be together and just dealing with regular couple things. It doesn't have to get boring if done right.

They are definitely writing Jake/Amy right so far. No unnatural drama, just real life couple problems!

 Also, the show relies on Jake and Amy, but not JUST on them, so that makes the pressure on them being lighter than it was fro RR or MS, which is great. |

yep, the show is an ensemble show
I like to think of Jim/Pam.. they remained together throughout the seasons (well after they got together) and the drama that they had was realistic and they never lost their charm __________________
